tRAP - NEUTER - RELEASE

Our Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) process is designed to be humane, organized, and effective. We typically trap 6–8 cats at a time and transport them to a partnering veterinary clinic where they are spayed or neutered, examined for overall health, and given any necessary vaccinations or medical treatment. After surgery, we pick the cats up the following day and monitor them carefully for several days to ensure they are recovering properly. Once they are stable and healthy, the cats are safely returned to their original location, where they are familiar with their surroundings and established colony.

This process helps prevent future litters, reduces nuisance behaviors, and improves the overall health of the colony. The average cost to treat each cat ranges from $50–$75, depending on medical needs and services required. We are always grateful for community support and gladly accept donations such as cat litter, dry or wet food, cat carriers, and humane live traps. Monetary donations are also appreciated and go directly toward covering veterinary expenses and supplies. Every donation helps us continue making a positive impact in Newcomerstown.
